yes, there's by default a limit to 40k and i guess it's
pretty standard... longer texts might get cutted into
two pieces ;)

in general everything should work. the "reply to poster"
function is heavily discussed everywhere else, i guess it
depends very much on the character of the list, although
i'd prefer not to get all kind of replies...
