I think that that chapter is more Hardt than Negri (although I'm sure they'd
refuse that distinction), for I have a piece entitled 'the withering of
civil society' (il deperimento della società civile), but only in italian. I
can send it you if you like. I can't remember the section from the labor of
Dionysus too well, so the piece I'm speaking of may simply be a draft of
what went into the book...

imho negri addresses some hegelian problematique in almost every
text that deals with the theory of the State. as i'm not familiar
with all available english translations i would recommend you the
reading of the chapter on "Postmodern Law and the Withering of
Civil Society", included in Labor of Dionysos. It is a critique
of comunitarianism and postmodern law theories that install a
quite Hegelian concept of civil society.
