Hi all,
I should introduce myself -- it's my first post. My name is Az and I'm in
Melbourne.
Anyhow, I've been lurking for months through various conversations, and am
finally spurred to post by the suggestion of reading D/G -- a great idea, I
reckon. Something I'd like to read/contribute to, if I can.
I'm interested in the BwO stuf in 'A Thousand Plateaus' and also
the 'Postscript on the Societies of Control' from October journal -- it's quite
a clean, self-contained essay, might be a good starting-point. Also, it's
online somewhere (forgive, I can't find it just now). I haven't read Difference
and Repetition but am about to check it out of the library.
On the other hand, if we have a choice btw beginnig with AO and begining with
TP, I would say start with Anti-Oedipus. AO grounds itself in some kind of
engagement with capital/desire in a way that TP doesn't, necessarily, perhaps
because you can start and finish anywhere in TP and so can avoid engaging with
the whole text? (Speaking for myself.)
Great list, by the way.
